Flat-rate bookings
When you book a flat-rate service you pay up front and the provider commits to scheduling the work within a window shown before you pay (typically two weeks). Your payment is refunded in full, automatically, if any of the following happens:
- The contractor doesn't schedule the work within two weeks of your payment.
- The contractor only offers to schedule the work more than two weeks out from your payment.
- The contractor cancels the request.
- You cancel the request before the contractor has arrived and begun the work.
Anything outside that list is handled through support rather than an automatic refund. Refunds return to the original payment method; card networks typically post them within 5–10 business days. The exact window for a given service is always shown on its booking screen and in your booking confirmation.
Project payments and invoices
Payments for quoted projects go to the Service Provider who did the work. Refunds for those payments are issued by that provider from inside Sesklo (partial or full), and you will see the refund on the same invoice. If you and the provider cannot agree, open a dispute from the project page and Sesklo support will review it.
Each payment you make to a Service Provider through Sesklo also carries a $1.00 Sesklo platform fee and the card or bank processing fee, both shown as their own lines before you pay. Neither is refundable: a refund from your provider returns what the provider charged, not these two fees. Sesklo adds a $1.00 platform fee to each payment. It is not refundable.
Recurring services
Recurring services are billed per visit after each visit's work log is confirmed, and each visit payment includes the $1.00 Sesklo platform fee and the processing fee. A visit that did not happen is not billed. You can pause, skip, or end a recurring service at any time from the service's page; visits already completed are not refunded.
Service Provider subscriptions
Service Provider plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually. You can cancel at any time and your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. We do not refund or prorate the current billing period. Annual plans are not refunded for unused months. Manage or cancel your plan under Settings → Billing.
Property management and association billing
Rent, dues, and deposits paid through Sesklo go directly to the organization that manages your property. Refunds and returns of those amounts follow that organization's policies and your lease or governing documents; contact them first.
