Sesklo 1.0.7: every Pro tool for Team accounts in the app, and projects VoiceOver can open
Sesklo 1.0.7 is rolling out on the App Store and Google Play now, and the matching update to sesklo.com is already live. It is a smaller release than 1.0.6, and most of it is repair work: a handful of things that were quietly broken, or quietly wrong, now do what they always claimed to.
For homeowners — the mobile app
- VoiceOver and TalkBack can open your projects. On iPhone, the cards on your Quotes, Projects, Recurring and Flat Rate lists could not be opened with VoiceOver at all — you could hear that a project was there and had no way into it. They are real buttons now: double-tap opens the project, and a recurring service's Reschedule control is still reachable as its own action. On Android the cards already opened, but TalkBack read each one as a pile of loose fragments; each card now reads as one item.
For service providers — the mobile app
- Team accounts get every Pro project tool in the app. The app treated the Team plan as if it ranked below Pro, so every Team account saw a Pro lock on work logs, milestones, checklists, documents, permits, selections and payments inside its projects. Team includes everything in Pro, and the app now knows it. The website was never affected.
For service providers — the mobile app and the website
- A rejected texting registration now says so, and says why. Before your receptionist number can send its automatic text reply, the carriers have to approve a registration for your business. When they rejected one, Sesklo kept showing “Registration pending” indefinitely. It now shows “Registration rejected” with the reason in plain English, so you know what to fix. Calls and voicemails are still captured in the meantime — only the automatic text reply is off.
- Finished work stays off your unscheduled list. Completed, cancelled and off-platform jobs were still showing up as work waiting to be scheduled, and the more jobs you had finished, the longer that list got. Only live work appears there now. Jobs on hold stay, because they still need a date.
- AI renderings use your photo again, and say so when they can't. A storage mix-up meant a rendering could not read the customer's before photo — and instead of reporting that, it quietly handed the original photo back as the “finished” rendering. It now reads the photo correctly, and an attempt that does fail is marked failed with a plain explanation. A product photo that fails to download is now an error too, rather than a rendering that ignores the product.
For service providers — the website
- Off-platform job prices display correctly. On a job you created yourself, the project page showed the price at a hundredth of its value — a $275 job read as $2.75. Only the display was wrong; nothing was charged or invoiced at that amount.
- Asking for a report in plain English no longer comes back empty by mistake. The report builder's AI sometimes added a filter for a value that does not exist in your data — “active” projects, for example — and then showed “No data matched these filters.” Filters like that are now dropped, and the report's explanation tells you it happened.
- Founding Provider applications are open. Know a contractor who should be on Sesklo? The service-provider page now takes applications to the Founding Provider program: approved providers run their business on the full Pro plan, free, while they are Founding Providers, and every application is read by Sesklo's founder.
For everyone — the mobile app
- The Warranty tab and the Change Order document type are gone from the app. Both have been switched off on the website for some time, and they should not have still been showing in the app. A warranty claim filed from the app was not reaching anyone. If you filed one, message your provider directly.
For everyone — the mobile app and the website
- Blog posts are color-coded by who they are written for. Posts for homeowners are red, posts for service providers are gold, and release notes like this one stay Sesklo red. In the app, a post's link and back button take its color too.
If you have automatic updates turned on, 1.0.7 reaches your phone on its own. The matching website update is live now.
